Green
Purchasing Tips!
Buy
local products (made in Marlborough, New
England, USA) to reduce transportation fuel costs
and support the local economy.
Consider
thelife cycle of a product. What is it
made from? How long will it last? How
will it be disposed of? Your sustainable
choices prevent pollution, reduce waste, and invest
in a green economy. Consider buying organic, durable
products that can be reused or recycled when you are
done with them.

NEW
Walk
with Green Marlborough
Enjoy walking the trails of
Marlborough in the company of a guided
group the first
Saturday of each month. The next walk
is 9am Saturday, July 4th at The
Desert, 615-acre conservation land
named for glacial sand deposits and a
scrub pine forest. Lovely
streams and wooded area. The
walk leader is Rick Boudrie, a veteran
AT hiker (Maine to Georgia) who enjoys
exploring local trails and bird
watching. The
walk is 1.5 hours and about 1.5 miles.
Dress for the weather, wear sturdy
shoes, and bring water/snack.
Directions: From Route 20 turn
onto Concord Road toward the golf
course. Go about 2.5 miles.
Look for a wooden sign and parking lot
on the right. Info:
